Sydney Museum
Located on Charlotte Street in downtown Sydney, the Sydney Museum is housed in the former Bank of Montreal building, a Neoclassical landmark completed in 1901 and designed by architect Sir Andrew Thomas Taylor. The interior is celebrated for its dome and rotunda, grand windows, and remarkable sense of light and openness. Its architectural significance has earned it designation as a municipally registered heritage property. Washroom facilities, kitchenette, seating and some A/V equipment are available on site.
The Old Sydney Society rents the Sydney Museum for weddings, commitment ceremonies, memorial services, and receptions, as well as concerts and as a general event space. Civil ceremonies and ceremonies from various religious traditions are most welcome. The seating capacity is approximately 120.
St. Patrick’s Church Museum
Located on the Esplanade, St. Patrick’s Church Museum is a stone church built pioneering Gothic architecture in Cape Breton. St. Patrick’s Church was built in 1828; the interior consists of hand-hewn wooden beams, large lancet windows, and the original high ceilings. There is a small kitchenette located at the rear of the building, and washroom facilities.

Price:
$600 per minimum four-hour rental plus $100 per each additional hour (including rehearsal times).
